The Citizens' Association is not the Swim and Tennis Club ! Each of these two groups has annual dues, a separate Board of Directors, separate newsletters, and various activities. Membership in one group does not include membership in the other group.

The Carderock Springs Swim and Tennis Club (CSSC) is a club with a clubhouse, pools, tennis courts, etc. and is focused on activities at the clubhouse and surrounding grounds. |

The neighborhood Citizens Association is involved in construction covenants, zoning, the annual house tour, and produces newsletters and also a neighborhood directory with pet sitters, baby sitters, and lawn and garden care.

One committee of the Citizens' Association is the Architectural Review Committee (ARC), which reviews additions and exterior modifications to homes in the community such as fencing, sheds, exterior color schemes, and live hardwood tree removal.
